What to Know Before Visiting Radevic Estate, Montenegro

Planning a visit to Radevic Estate? Here are direct answers to the questions we hear most often, from booking requirements and tasting options to what's worth combining with your trip. If you don't see your question here, reach out directly through our Visit Us page.

Can I visit without an appointment?

No. Radevic Estate is open to visitors by appointment only, year-round except January. Tours and tastings run 10am to 8pm, for groups of two to ten. Book in advance through our Visit Us page.

What wines will I taste?

This custom wine storage solution is from Radevic Estate, located in Montenegro, and features dedicated sections for both estate wines and brandies.

It depends on which tasting you book. The full tour and tasting, priced at €50, runs about two hours and includes six of our award-winning wines, our signature Renée dessert wine, our estate cognac, and one of our fruit schnapps, all served with small bites. A lighter option, without food, is available at €20 and includes three wines, one schnapps, and our award-winning white port. Full details on our current wines are on our Wines page.

Can I buy bottles to take home?

Yes. After your tour and tasting, you're welcome to visit our on-site wine boutique, where our wines, brandies, cognacs, and accessories are available for purchase, alongside organic essential oils and other homemade products. Visit our Shop page for a preview of what's typically available.

Is the estate suitable for non-wine drinkers?

Yes, in two ways. First, the tour itself covers the vineyard, the winery, and the estate's history and setting near the ancient Roman ruins of Duklija, which is worth the visit on its own regardless of interest in wine. Second, both tasting tiers include a schnapps and either our cognac or white port, so even a guest who isn't drawn to wine specifically still has non-wine options within the tasting.

What is the cognac experience like?

Our estate cognac, Grand Renée XO, is included in the full €50 tasting. It's presented after the wine portion of the tour, aged 8 years in American oak and finished for 2 years in a Slavonian oak vessel with wild orange peel, mountain mint, and prunes. We cover the full production process and tasting notes in our dedicated guide to Grand Renée XO.

How far is it from Kotor or Budva?

We're about 10 minutes outside central Podgorica, in the village of Rogami. From Kotor, expect roughly 1 to 1.5 hours by car depending on traffic and route. From Budva, expect about an hour. Both are manageable as a day trip that combines coastal sightseeing with an estate visit, though we'd recommend building in enough time that the drive doesn't rush the tasting itself.

Is there anything else nearby worth combining with a visit?

The ruins of Doclea (also known as Duklja), an ancient Roman city located near Podgorica, Montenegro.

Yes. The Duklija Roman ruins are 5 minutes from the estate and free to enter year-round. We've put together a full breakdown of how to combine both, along with other half-day options near Podgorica, in our guide to things to do near Podgorica.
