How to Visit Radevic Estate: Booking, Getting There, and What to Bring

June 05, 202610 min read

Radevic Estate is not a walk-in winery. Every visit is private, personal, and arranged in advance, which is exactly what makes the experience worth the planning. This guide covers everything you need to confirm your reservation, find the estate, choose the right tasting tier, and arrive prepared for the season. If you are ready to book, go directly to the Visit Us page. If you want the full picture first, read on.

The Essentials at a Glance

Radevic Estate is open by appointment only, seven days a week from 10am to 8pm, for groups of 2 to 10 people. The estate is closed throughout January.

Before diving into the details, here is the core information you need:

  • Location: Village of Rogami, 10 minutes from central Podgorica, Montenegro

  • Hours: Monday through Sunday, 10:00am to 8:00pm

  • Booking: By appointment only, minimum 24 hours advance notice required

  • Group size: 2 to 10 people per visit

  • Tasting tiers: 20 EUR (standard) or 50 EUR (full estate experience) per person

  • January: The estate is closed for the entire month

  • Contact: +382-69-276-055 or [email protected], or use the reservation form on the Visit Us page

How to Book Your Visit

All visits require advance booking. Walk-ins are not accepted. Contact the estate at least 24 hours before your intended visit, and preferably further in advance during peak summer travel months.

There are three ways to make a reservation:

  • Online reservation form: The fastest option. Fill in your details, preferred date and time, group size, and any questions using the form on the Visit Us page. The team will confirm your booking by reply.

  • Phone: Call +382-69-276-055 directly to speak with the team and confirm your booking in real time. This is the recommended approach if your visit is within the next 24 to 48 hours or if you have specific dietary or accessibility requirements to discuss.

  • Email: Reach the team at [email protected] for written confirmation and any detailed questions about your visit.

When making your reservation, have the following ready: your preferred date and arrival time, the number of people in your group (between 2 and 10), which tasting tier you are interested in (see the breakdown in the next section), and any dietary considerations that may affect the food pairing component of the full experience.

A Note on Cancellations

Cancellation policy details are not currently published on the estate website. When confirming your reservation, ask the team directly about their cancellation terms so you have written confirmation before your travel plans are finalized. This is particularly important for visitors who are booking flights or accommodation around the estate visit.

Which Tasting Tier Is Right for Your Group?

Radevic Estate offers two tasting tiers. The full estate experience at 50 EUR per person is the one most visitors choose, as it includes the winery tour, food pairings, the full wine lineup, and the estate's signature cognac. The standard tasting at 20 EUR suits shorter itineraries or those who prefer a lighter introduction.

Standard Tasting: 20 EUR per person

  • 3 wines included

  • Dessert wine: Renee White Port

  • 1 schnapps included

  • No food pairings

  • Tasting only, no full estate tour

  • Wine boutique visit included

  • Duration: approximately 1 hour

  • Best for: curious visitors or those with shorter itineraries

Full Estate Experience: 50 EUR per person

  • 6 award-winning wines included

  • Dessert wine: Signature Renee dessert wine

  • Signature Grand Renee Cognac plus 1 fruit schnapps included

  • Delectable small-bite food pairings served throughout

  • Full tour of estate and winery included

  • Wine boutique visit included

  • Duration: approximately 2 hours

  • Best for: wine enthusiasts who want the complete Radevic experience

The 50 EUR full experience is built around the estate's complete range: six award-winning wines, the legendary Renee White Port, the hand-crafted Grand Renee Cognac aged a minimum of eight years in American oak, and small-bite food pairings served throughout. For most visitors making a special trip to Rogami, this is the version worth booking. The 20 EUR option is a genuine alternative for those with time constraints or who simply want a lighter tasting without the full ceremony of the food pairing.

Whichever tier you choose, your visit will end with an opportunity to browse the wine boutique, where award-winning bottles, organic essential oils, candles, and exclusive tasting glasses are available to take home. You can also explore the full wine range online through the estate shop before your visit to plan any purchases.

Getting to Radevic Estate from Podgorica

Radevic Estate is located in the village of Rogami, approximately 10 minutes by car from central Podgorica. It is the most accessible winery visit from the Montenegrin capital and can easily be combined with a morning or afternoon in the city.

The estate address is: Radevic Estate, Rogami-Piperi bb, 81000 Podgorica, Montenegro. Enter this into Google Maps or your preferred navigation app before you leave. The roads between Podgorica and Rogami are straightforward and well-maintained, and the drive through the village offers a first glimpse of the Montenegrin countryside that surrounds the estate.

From Podgorica Airport

Podgorica Airport (TGD) is the primary international gateway to Montenegro. The estate is approximately 15 to 20 minutes by car from the airport. Rental cars are available directly at the terminal. Visitors arriving on international connections and planning a same-day estate visit should build in time for the rental process before calling ahead to confirm arrival time. For airport details including car hire and transport options, see the Podgorica Airport website.

From Coastal Montenegro

Visitors staying on the Adriatic coast (Budva, Kotor, Bar) can reach Podgorica by road in approximately 1 to 2 hours depending on route and traffic. The estate makes a practical full-day or half-day inland detour when combined with a coastal itinerary. Allow time for the coastal-to-inland drive, the approximately two-hour visit, and any exploration of Podgorica before the return journey.

Driving Tips

  • The village of Rogami sits north of Podgorica. Use the estate address in your navigation rather than searching for the village name alone.

  • Montenegro drives on the right side of the road. Road conditions outside major routes can be narrow and winding. Drive at moderate speed and watch for local traffic.

  • Parking is available at the estate. There is no need to worry about street parking in Rogami.

  • If you are hiring a driver or taxi, confirm they know the Rogami-Piperi road specifically, as the area has several small villages in close proximity.

What to Wear and Bring Each Season

Radevic Estate is a working vineyard set in the Montenegrin countryside. Comfortable, practical clothing and walking shoes are appropriate year-round. The season significantly affects what you will encounter and how to dress for it.

Montenegro experiences a continental climate inland, with hot dry summers, mild springs and autumns, and cool wet winters. The estate is open from February through December, and each season offers a different character of visit. The broader Montenegro tourism context is worth reviewing if you are planning a first trip to the country around your estate visit.

Spring: March to May

Mild temperatures with occasional light rain. The vines are in bud through early leaf, and the estate takes on a fresh, green character as the growing season begins. Pack light layers, a jacket for cooler evenings, comfortable walking shoes, and a small umbrella.

Summer: June to August

Hot and dry, with harvest preparations beginning in late August. This is peak travel season in Montenegro and the most popular time to visit. Wear light, breathable clothing and bring a sun hat, sunscreen, sunglasses, and comfortable flat shoes.

Autumn: September to November

Warm days with cooler evenings, and the active harvest season in full motion. Autumn is arguably the most atmospheric time to visit a working vineyard. Bring layers you can remove as the day warms, closed-toe shoes for walking vineyard paths, and a light jacket for the evening.

Winter: February only (note January closure)

Cool and quiet, with a slower pace that suits visitors who prefer a more private, unhurried experience. The estate reopens in February after its January closure. Pack warm layers, a waterproof jacket, and sturdy shoes. Confirm availability directly with the estate before booking a winter visit.

Footwear

The vineyard paths are natural ground, not paved. Flat-soled shoes with some grip are appropriate for all seasons. High heels are not practical on vineyard terrain and are not recommended for the full estate tour. Sandals are fine in summer for the tasting room portion of the visit but less ideal if you want to walk between the vines.

Photography

Bring your camera. The estate and its surroundings offer genuinely beautiful photography conditions, particularly in the golden light of early morning and late afternoon. The vineyard rows, the ancient Roman ruins nearby, and the broader Montenegrin landscape provide memorable backdrops at every season.

What Happens During Your Visit

A standard visit to Radevic Estate follows a natural sequence: arrival and welcome, a tour of the vineyard and winery, the seated tasting, and time in the wine boutique before departure. The full experience runs approximately two hours.

The Radevic family has been cultivating these vines for twenty-eight generations, near the ruins of the ancient Roman city of Dolcea. The history of the estate and the family behind it is woven into every part of the visit. Reading the estate history and familiarizing yourself with the team before you arrive enriches the conversation and gives context to what you are tasting.

The tasting itself covers a structured lineup. For the full experience, this means six of the estate's award-winning wines, including their internationally recognized Vranac, Syrah, and Chardonnay, followed by the Renee dessert wine and Grand Renee Cognac. Small-bites are served throughout to complement each pour. The wines are introduced with tasting notes and the story behind each vintage, giving even guests with limited wine experience a clear framework for what they are experiencing.

If you want to familiarize yourself with the wines before arriving, the full wine portfolio is on the estate website. Reading the tasting notes in advance is not required but adds depth to the conversation during the visit.

After the tasting, the wine boutique gives you the opportunity to take bottles home, along with organic estate products including essential oils, candles, and exclusive glassware. Purchases are available both on-site and online.

Practical Tips for a Great Visit

  • Eat beforehand if you are sensitive to alcohol on an empty stomach. The full experience includes food pairings, but they are small bites rather than a full meal.

  • Arrive on time. Your booking confirms a specific slot, and the host will be prepared for your arrival at the agreed time. If your travel plans change, call ahead rather than arriving late without notice.

  • Bring cash or confirm payment methods when booking. Card payment availability in rural Montenegrin settings varies, and it is worth clarifying this when you confirm your reservation.

  • The estate welcomes respectful photography. Ask before photographing staff or family members, as is standard practice at family estates worldwide.

  • Read guest testimonials before your visit if you want a sense of what other visitors have experienced. The testimonials page located on the estate website gives an honest picture of the visit from previous guests.

  • If your group has particular wine interests, mention them when booking. The team can sometimes tailor the conversation around your interests, whether that is indigenous Montenegrin varietals like Vranac, the estate's approach to organic farming, or the brandy and cognac production.
